Eligibility Criteria
5 credit passes in GCE Ordinary Level examinations including English Language and at least 2 passes at Advanced Level in English and a pass in one of: History, International Relations, Law, Sociology, Geography, Human Resources, Environmental Studies, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, Marketing, Computer Studies or Religious Studies (Mathematics an added advantage). Equivalent passes from applicant's country of origin considered. Non-English speaking background applicants must demonstrate English proficiency (IELTS band 6+ or TOEFL 600+). Special Entry: candidates with 5 O-Level passes including English and Mathematics (grade C) and a relevant 3-year Diploma in English and Communication Studies, Journalism and Media Studies, or Development Studies may be admitted to first year. Mature Entry: applicants aged 25+ with 5 O-Level passes including English, relevant industrial experience in Media/Film/Journalism, evidence of professional accomplishments, having completed school/college studies at least 5 years prior, English proficiency evidence for non-English backgrounds, possible interview, and transcripts from any prior credit-bearing study.
Application process
Apply online via the Application Portal (acacia.africau.ac.zw/signup) after choosing up to 3 programmes from africau.edu/program. Create an account, submit certified copies of certificates/transcripts, and pay the application fee. If successful, sign and return the Provisional Offer Letter (international students must also apply for a Study Permit and Student Visa). Pay fees in full to secure the offer, then register on the dates listed on the Academic Calendar, bringing original certificates for verification, 2 passport photos, and an X-ray report from a physician.
