Kwekwe Polytechnic

Kwekwe Polytechnic is a leading government Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution located in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe, operating from one main campus. Established in 1981 as Kwekwe Technical College by Union Carbide (later ZIMASCO), the institution was created to develop technical skills for Zimbabwe's growing industrial sector. Operating under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Kwekwe Polytechnic offers National Certificate, National Diploma, Higher National Diploma, and Bachelor of Technology Honours programmes in engineering, applied sciences, commerce, and other fields. The institution is recognised for its strength in heavy engineering, manufacturing, and electrical power technology, while also providing business and community-focused programmes through its various divisions. Guided by Zimbabwe's Education 5.0 philosophy, Kwekwe Polytechnic promotes teaching, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industrialisation to produce skilled graduates who contribute to national economic development.
