Mutare Polytechnic is a government Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution located in Mutare, Manicaland Province, Zimbabwe. Established in 1948 as a surrogate institution of Salisbury Polytechnic, the college operates from one main campus along Vintcent Avenue and is managed under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development. Known as “The Pacesetter,” Mutare Polytechnic focuses on hands-on, industry-driven training aligned with Zimbabwe’s Education 5.0 philosophy of teaching, research, community service, innovation, and industrialisation. The institution offers National Certificate (NC), National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Bachelor of Technology programmes in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Business, Information Technology, and Creative disciplines. With modern facilities, student accommodation, and practical project-based learning, Mutare Polytechnic equips learners with skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and industrial development.
